The investigation into the case of Abimael Zunnin and the problems  surrounding serving marginalized minorities with language barriers.

The family of a Crenshaw County man continue their search for answers 5 years after his death. Edwin Earl Cosby was murdered in June 2016.

On June 14, 2016, 78-year-old Edwin Earl Cosby was found deceased at his body shop located at 237 N. Jackson Avenue in Rutledge, AL.  Upon further investigation, it was determined that Mr. Cosby was murdered.  Mr. Cosby was last seen alive Monday afternoon around 3:30 pm at a store in town. His son, Brent Cosby, found his body around 7:30 pm Monday night in his office.

A reward of $20,000 is being offered for the arrest and conviction of all persons responsible for the death of Edwin Earl Cosby. The Cosby Family is offering $10,000 and the State of Alabama’s

Governor Kay Ivey signed a proclamation on May 19, 2017 offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) found guilty of his death.  Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is offering a $5,0000 reward to be paid within 30 days of arrest.

On Sunday, June 28, 2020, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Montgomery Police Patrol units responded to the 5900 Block of Oakleigh Road regarding a subject suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Keshon Gardner and was pronounced deceased on the scene. Detectives later discovered that the vehicle used during the Murder of Garden is a newer white model Ford Fusion with dark tinted windows. The Montgomery Police Department is seeking assistances from the public for any information regarding the Murder of Keshon Gardner.

Montgomery Police Department and Fire Medics responded to the 600 block of Mildred Street on Friday, Mar. 1, 2019 at 
about 10:15 a.m. in reference to a deceased subject. There, they located 38 year old Frederick McCall who had 
sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding this fatal shooting still remain under investigation. No arrests 
have been made, and no additional information is available for release in 
connection to this continuing investigation.
